Ecomar Propulsion has been shortlisted for not just one, but two awards at the upcoming Maritime UK Solent Awards. They are in the running for the Clean Maritime Innovator Award and the Diversity Champion Award.

Ecomar Propulsion has been recognised as a Clean Maritime Innovator – alongside BAR Technologies and Datum Electronics – for its innovative electric and hybrid inboard and outboard marine engines and mission to cut maritime carbon emissions and millions of litres of fuel waste.

Ecomar Propulsion’s CEO, Eugene Bari said, “We are delighted to be shortlisted and publicly recognised by a trusted organisation like Maritime UK for our efforts towards a zero carbon future in maritime. It is further proof that may help bring awareness to fleet operators and maritime business owners that it’s now time to switch to zero emissions systems. Ecomar Propulsion’s systems work, they are reliable and built to withstand the demands of commercial marine environments – and it is commercially viable in the long term.”

The Årka zero emission outboards’ range from 80kW to 200kW and are designed for commercial operations. It is 95% recyclable with a full environmental audit provided. The Årka incorporates practical features such as, flat top sides with fiddles for added useable space, optional transom lighting and full remote monitoring system to ensure performance and safety.

Zero Emission inboard systems range from 80kW to 1MW and are aimed at efficiency and range extension, with high torque, lower RPM to extend engine life, and low energy use. The innovative designs include modular service repair capability, efficient management control systems and remote monitoring solutions. They are designed as part of an integrated system which includes batteries (and hydrogen with potentially unlimited range extension).
